Windham Orchestra, Brattleboro, VT.The Windham Orchestra invites new string players to join the remainder of its 2011-12 concert season. This spring, the Windham Orchestra, under the direction of Hugh Keelan, continues an exciting season with Saint-Saëns Symphony No. 3 in c minor, Organ Symphony, in March, and a program of Stravinsky and Tchaikovsky in June. Rehearsals are held on Mondays, 7:15 pm, at Oak Grove School in Brattleboro, VT. The Orchestra is open to all area musicians. Vermont Youth Orchestra, Colchester, VT. The Vermont Youth Orchestra Association is currently accepting registrations for Presto, our ensemble program for beginning string players. Presto sessions take place on Saturday mornings from March 10 – April 14, 2010 at the Elley-Long Music Center at Saint Michael’s College. Tuition is $75 for the session. Financial Aid is available.
